Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
Yes, my ILs treat me equally. They usually just give us money (sometimes $300-400 each) and smaller gifts for Christmas. DH always jokes about how I'm cutting into his profit bc they used to give him $500 or more.
My parents treat DH equally also.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
I think that we're treated relatively equally. However, DH's younger sister gets more than everyone combined - she's the princess!

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
They're pretty equal. Both of our parents usually get us gifts that are for the two of us. Like this year, his parents are giving us a GC to Bed Bath abd Beyond because we want to redo the bathroom9 New shower curtain, accessories, towels, etc..) My parents got us a new TV for the office and then got us each cashmire sweaters. I think my mom bought me a couple little extra things, but nothing much.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
I would have to say yes...my FIL is very thoughtful in what he gets us...it seems like he stores things in the back of his mind until Christmas...he always knows what to get us. My mom treats us the same too.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
The gift giving isn't equal on either side, but I don't expect it to be, and I don't mind at all.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
My parents treat us equally. DH's absolutely do not. Last christmas they bought him a load of gifts and I got cookbooks from a thrift store . Oh and our couple gift from the IL's was a bottle of wine, and neither of us drink.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
I would say about equal. My inlaws have always been very generous to me! If there ever is/was much of a difference, it would just be b/c they know DH's tastes and what he wants better then me. My dad basically just gives us money. For xmas it's alwyas just one check. I'm don't think he gives us a different amout each for our birthdays - but, if he did, he knows it goes to the same place so it really wouldn't matter.

Re: A selfish and greedy question for you:
No our parents don't. My parents always buy a little more for me and his parents buy a little more for him. I would do the same for the child I raised, I know I would want to give them a little extra.

Same here. I think this year I will buy a present for my parents to give to DH just so he won't feel left out.
His parents are always very generous with the two of us.
