10 week old sleeping question
I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful ideas with this. My DS will go down at around 9 and get up at 1 ish for a bottle but then continue to wake at 330, 430 and 530 but not be hungry, just not really wanting to sleep. any suggestions on what i can try? am i putting him in too early?

Re: 10 week old sleeping question
i had it when he was a newborn but he hated it so much. i use a sleep sak. he really stopped alot of the twitching that wakes them up. i feel like he jsut knows i will hold him until he falls asleep, but is he too little to realize that?

Re: 10 week old sleeping question
Some babies just need to be held - my first daughter was like that for a long time. Another thing you can try is, during the day, start putting him down to nap while he's sleepy but still awake. That will help to start teaching him how to put himself back to sleep. Of course, if he starts crying bloody murder, it won't work, but for some babies, it does

funny that you ask that though. he cant roll over, but when he sleeps really well on me, its on his tummy. i think it helps since he has a touch of reflux. he doesnt seem to like laying on his belly on anything harder than my flab!

Re: 10 week old sleeping question
My 10 week old will do this if I dont burp her well enough. It takes me 15 minutes sometimes, but if she burps she goes back down without a problem. She goes down at 930-10pm then wakes up around 430am has an 8oz bottle and goes down till 7am, if I want I can put the paci in her mouth and she will sleep another hour.
If She wakes up in between I will pick her up rub her back for 10 minutes and put her back down, it works for me. Another thing I do is put the pacifier in her mouth as I said above.
Also, she gets 7 oz bottles all day then has a 10 oz bottle before bed with a teaspoon of oatmeal. She is a BIG eater and will fuss until she is full.
Oh and I also use a hippo swaddle blanket. She hated it at first, but we put her in it anyway and she doesnt mind it now. Its the best.
