6 week old sleeping question
My DD is going to be 6 weeks tomorrow and all she does is sleep. She eats every 3 hours around the clock and sleeps pretty much the whole time in between. Some days she'll be up for an hour here and there. Is this normal? At what point do they stay up for longer periods of time?

My DH is now 4 months, but he used to sleep like that at 6 weeks-- right around that time he started to wake up more and now he naps only 3 times a day and I have to make an effort to get him to sleep. I wouldnt worry, but if you are concerned call your pediatrician and get their opinion. HTH!

Sounds normal to me. DD slept a lot maybe until 2 months? Can't remember exactly. But I agree with OP, if you are concerned, speak to the pediatrician.
