Does anyone teach religion?
I taught DD's 3rd grade class (5years ago!) I made sure I kept things interesting for them overall. I would do some of the work, do a quick "game" related to the work then teach a bit more. If there was time at the end I would do "7 up" (or 3 or 5 up) or religion hangman (also related to the work we just did) I did a few quick and easy and cheap crafts throughout the year (since that was $ out of my pocket), and printed a few crossword puzzles or word finds too.
Good luck!!

Re: Does anyone teach religion?
Oriental trading for crafts !! They typicall sell in packs of 12.
Oriental Trading Religious crafts
I spent maybe $30-$40 the whole year. I don't remember exactly, but it wasn't that much. I did an advent craft, christmas craft, easter craft, rosary craft and one more that I can't remember. Don't go crazy!! If you aren't in a position, then don't worry. You have a curriculum you have to follow anyway and you can always pass the extra time other ways. Or if you do one or two for the year and only spend $10-$20 that's fine too.
Also, ask if you are allowed to make copies using the religious ed office copier. If you are, you can print one copy of something (a religious maze, word find, etc) and make copies for the kids there, then it won't cost you!
