Although I don't particularly like Amber, I do think she is trying to better herself. As for Maci, on the coming attractions with Dr. Drew I thought Ryan said "If she wasn't the mother of my baby I would never talk to her again" She needs to leave him

I really loved this show...I think the way MTV did it, was really an eye opener.
Maci is hands down my favorite. What a wonderful mother..Bentley is ADORABLE and she just "gets it." Ryan???? He needs his eyes opened the hard way....I cant stand him. Hes literally so mean to her and Bentley..I hope she finds another wonderful guy to be with and goes to college somehow.
Catelynn and Tyler...I just cry when I see them. He is the sweetest, most sincere, adorabe thing. She is ok...she kinda gets on my nerves too and I am not sure why...her rubber bands drive me NUTS. I did cry though when he proposed...they made a huge decision together..I hope they stay together.
Amber and Gary...Ive never heard someone whine as much as Amber. I do give it to her though for trying with getting her own place and stuff. But did she say she may be preggo again? That to me is just stupidity.
And Farrah???? Cant stand her or her mother. The way they speak to each other is soooooooooo weird...I cringe every time!! Its good shes spending more time with Sophia but still ugh!
I always say im not going to watch the new challenge or real world or whatever and I always do and I always become obsessed with the cast..so I will watch the new one.

I just caught the 16 and Pregnant this morning that featured Catelynn and Tyler-I was almost bawling-I give them so much credit for giving Carlie up for adoption. They really have a lot of obstacles and they were able to do the right thing by their daughter even though Catelynn's mom and Tyler's dad were so unsupportive. I think it is such a wonderful thing that they realized that they wanted to give Carlie a life that they couldn't provide on their own and the adoptive parents seem so nice.
I love them and wish them the best. What selfless brave people. They really have so many struggles and I bet they will really make something out of their lives.
I love Maci too BTW-she is such a good mom-she needs to boot Ryan and get a real man.

Loved the show and will probably try and watch the new one:
Maci & Ryan-she needs to LEAVE.HIM. He is a useless lump and she is a great mom.
Catelynn and Tyler.-LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I cried right with him. He is sooo sincere and truly loves her. What wonderful people they have turned out to be after being raised by such nuts. I hope they stay together.
Amber and Gary-Amber IS annoying BUT Gary is just pure LA.ZY. He couldn't even help her move. He was not the nicest person either to her but he seems to have no ambition at all.
Farrah-what happened to the father of her baby? Her mother just stangled her. They BOTH need help and that beautiful baby needs a mother, not a partier that sees her when she feels like it.

I watched them on 16 and Pregnant occasionaly. I never actually saw Farrah's story so I have no idea where Sophia's dad is.
I will probably watch the new cast too.
But I adore Teen Mom. I get so caught up in it.
Tyler and Catelynn are the sweetest, most genuine couple I think I have ever seen. They were raised with crazy parents and they both were forced to grow up quickly. They are so brave for giving Carly up and knowing that they could not give her the life that she deserves.
Maci/Ryan...Ryan is such an a**hole. I love Maci but I hate that she can't finish school because Ryan is a deadbeat. I truly hope that she wakes up and realizes that she doesn't need Ryan to be in her life in order to create a family for Bently.
Amber/Gary...she needs a lot of mental help and I think she realizes that and is trying her hardest to get the help that she needs. Gary needs to just accept it and let her grow and learn but still be there for Leah.
Farrah...uughhh! She and her mom are NUTS!! The way that she speaks to her father is disgusting. She really needs to realize that she chose to have unprotected sex and keep the baby and that her life would never be the same again. Sorry...but you can't be the "normal" teenager you so wish you could be. I think she is getting better but her parents need to stop enabling her.

She cut him out of the baby's life before she was born, so he was never involved. He actually died in a car accident, I am not sure if this was before or after Sophia was born...

I also just saw online thought that he was constantly calling and harassing her and she had to change her phone #. It said he died in Dec. 2008 and she had the baby in Feb. 2009.

ITA it is a MUST watch. I have never cried so hard in my life watching anything on tv/movie. It's absolutely beautiful and gut wrenching.
I'm sad I didn't keep up with Teen Mom. I watched the first episode and lost interest. I guess I didn't like one episode covering all the girls...I liked the old format but I guess that wouldn't make sense now. Guess I'll have to wait for the next 16 & Pregnant!
I've always despised Farrah.  The mom is disgusting, but you reap what you sow. I used to feel bad for Amber...I remember her 16 & Pregnant episode, being touched by her relationship with Gary. Now? Forget it.
I only like Maci & Tyler/Catelynn...so I felt that there was no point in watching it.

That's what I saw this morning.... I was sobbing. What amazing kids they are. Shame on her mother for not supporting her daughter.

That's what I saw this morning.... I was sobbing. What amazing kids they are. Shame on her mother for not supporting her daughter.
did you see the season finale? Catelyn's mom finally woke up and apologized for being such a horrible mother and not supporting her daughter. she finally said that she understood why catelyn gave carlie up and she stands behind her  amazing how the adult was the selfish one in the situation and the child acted as the adult.

Ok I love this show, but I actually think it is not having a good effect. Teen pregnancy is on an upswing (stated this morning on the news). I started thinking about this in connection to this show. Even though it shows all the struggles, if you are a kids looking for "someone to love you and someone to love", I think it could be a bad influence. I mean the people that seem the saddest, are the ones that gave up their child. I think they did the right thing, but the people in their life have turned against them.

I really love Amber. I actually think she is doing a great job! She got a job, is going to school, and got out of a relationship that was dysfunctional. I also think Macy is a great mom and she needs to leave Ryan.

I think Amber is doing the best that she can. I know she isn't too nice to Gary but when they were living together he did NOTHING! He is one of those guys who thinks that all he has to do to contribute is work. Meanwhile Amber is caring for their child and trying to get her education. Gary needed a wake up call and I think he got it! Sadly Ambers education will be put on hold but I think she is doing the right thing.
I LOVE Maci! I want her and Mr. Bentley to come live with me 
He is soooo delicious!
Ryan doesn't get it. He will though. Maci will meet someone great who will care for her and her son and I'm pretty sure Ryan won't be too happy with his son calling another man "daddy". Maci is doing so great and she deserves to be happy!
Farrah is coming around. Her and her mom have to be the most annoying people on the planet though. 
I liked that she started taking Sofia places and doing stuff with her. It made me sad when she tried calling her friends to come along and none of them were answering. I'm sure she is lonley and it has to be hard with the father of her baby not around.
Tyler and Catelyn are such great kids. They are so lucky to have one another and I hope they have a long, happy life together.

Has this season of Teen Mom ended?
The last episode I saw was the one where Tyler's dad thought he was going to jail and didn't. I think that is the same episode where Amber moved back into Gary's apartment and then he moved in with his parents. She also put Leah in Day Care in that episode.

Love this show! I wonder if they will comment about how Farrahs mom beat the crap out of her a few weeks ago. The Dr. Drew special was probably taped before it happened though. I could see her mom doing that, she seems crazy!!
