Re: 18th child born to the Dugger family

whenever i see them in the news i always wonder whther i, if i had the $$, would want to have that many children.

she is 42 right now, so 18 children x 9 months per pregnancy = 162 months of being pregnant. she has been pregnant for literally 1/3 of her life!!

Sorry, I'm tired of these people. Good for them, but how do you give enough attention to each kid, you can't. The older ones end up taking care of the younger ones while mom and dad try for the next. It seems like a circus to me. I'd like a big family, but not THAT big!

Re: 18th child born to the Dugger family

I think it's great they want a big family, but why do they need their own reality show? What does one have to do with the other?

They have 2 sets of twins... but still a lot more of my life that I personally wouldn't want to be pregnant.

Good for them since they can afford it and the kids are happy, healthy, and clothed.

yeah I watched a show with them and I have to say, they're pretty well grounded and she has an AMAZING attitude. I wanted to hate her so much but I couldn't

The thing is... I just have this feeling that they've become somewhat of a 'circus act' and are continuing to have babies for the publicity.

Just a feeling, not saying it's right...

They seem like good people and the kids seem great but I do wonder how they are able to give time to each of their kids? I guess it works for them.

Re: 18th child born to the Dugger family

I would think her doctors would tell her she should stop now. This was her third c-sec. What if she needed another? She is taking a chance of uterine rupture. After 18 children why would you want to take that chance?

Re: 18th child born to the Dugger family

I'm sorry but this sounds like child abuse to me.
There is NO way each kid gets the attention they deserve.

And it is totally unfair to ask the older kids to give up their teen years to take care of their siblings like this. Kids need to be kids which brings me to home schooling.

Really? You don't think those kids ever need to be around people that AREN'T their siblings?
You don't think for once they's like to be around kids their OWN age?

And what is with the j names? how queer
