1st Birthday Party food question

Would it be ok to do a hero...well a few? It is going to be fairly large ...80+ people and while the catering we had was cheap and amazing at the christening, I really can't afford 80 people plus kids again...

We were going to do chicken fingers and Mac and Cheese for the kids....

Heros and Eggplant Parm and Baked Ziti for the adults.

With Salads.

Is that too cheesy?

Re: 1st Birthday Party food question

I wanted to do a wrap platter, but DH voted for heros, so we're probably doing long heros (with other food).

Re: 1st Birthday Party food question

I think that is more then enough. Last year for my son's 1st birthday we did a hero with a ton of salads. Everyone loves them and it makes it so much easier for you.

Re: 1st Birthday Party food question

I'm doing the same thing for my DS' 1st birthday. A few long heroes and a few trays of baked ziti.

I think it's perfect.

ETA: I would make a salad also (not the kind that come with a hero, a green one Chat Icon )

We are having our housewarming this weekend and that's what we are doing. A couple of heros w/ coleslaw & potato salad, I'm making a veggie/pasta salad, meatballs in the crockpot and a green salad.

I'm sure you'll have chips etc. and cake/dessert later so that's totally fine!
