1st vacation with ds, plz help forgetful me with what to bring mommas :)

We're so excited! Going away for the first time with 6mo ds and dh but I feel like I'm going to forget something. Mommas who have traveled before, please share some tips on what to bring. Ds just started rice cereal, I bf and also pump. We're traveling by car and will only be gone 2 days but I feel like we need to pack the whole nursery and am a bit overwhelmed..... ds sleeps in his crib and we'll have a double bed. Should I bring his pack and play? TIA!!!

I fyou are going somehwere close where there are stores don't stress too much. If you forget anything you can always run out. As long as I have food and formula I was ok. Last time we wetn away it ended up cloder than what I packed for DS and we jsut ran to Target for stuff.

I am a HUGE over packer so here is what I bring now that I know what we need lol. For 2 days....4 outfits and 3 pairs of pj's(you never know what could happen, but if you have a spare in the diaper bag then just 3 outfits), Pump and ALL accessories, a small coller with ice packs to store the milk, bottles, a Pack and Play, spare sheets, 2-3 favorite toys, diapers and wipes. You shouldn't need much else unless you don't carry a diaper bag. You should bring a stroller or a baby carrier if you will be out and about. It sounds like way more then it is. A small bag will fit all of this! Oh and any bedtime comfort items. Like my kids need the sleep sheep, twilight turtle, and my dd needs princess blanket/pillow, and her 2 favorite books. Without those we would be hosed!

Most important to me would be the sleep items. I pack the white noise machine and her musical seahorse (although this weekend the batteries died while we were away and she still survived, lol). If you're staying in a house the monitor.

I would bring the pnp for sure. Our latest trip we skipped the stroller and used the bjorn since we weren't doing too much walking and it worked out great. I always bring her thermometer, tylenol, gas drops, and the nasal sucker just in case. I bring my whole diaper caddy fully stocked and use that in the car as well as room since everything is easily accessible. It has a changing pad and I keep disposable bags and disposable pads in there too.
