If my mother was well enough to enjoy the visit, I would bring him. Most likely he would be fine, and the worst case scenario is a virus, which he'd be over in a week. But the significance to your mom is huge.
i agree with this... i would feel so incredibly sad if i had to keep my DS away from my mom during the holidays
i would bring him and not let anyone near him except my mom
good luck whatever you decide

We have been taking DD to visit DH's aunt in a nursing home since she was 4 months old. She's now 7 months old and we're going tomorrow to see her.

I've taken DD at that age to see FIL.
At that age, I would keep her in her car seat.
But one time, when MIL was holding her, a patient walked up out of nowhere and kissed her.
She has been back only one time since then, but we met with M&FIL in the common room downstairs. I won't bring her back up to his floor again.

My Grandma was in a nursing home also. I brought DD to see her when she was about 4 months old, we went every week for a month. Everyone has different thoughts but my experience was fine.
