Has anyone painted their countertops?
DH and I decided that we won't just get the granite countertops just yet, because we eventually will want new cabinets so we're going to wait to redo the whole thing. I saw in HD countertop paint. Has anyone had any experience using it?

no i haven't, but it looks like a great product to use. And it's by Rust-oleum. I would ask some questions at HD is you can. I'm sure it would come out great. There is probably just some prep work and then you have a new counter. Awesome.

You really don't want to see the before pics. We have PINK countertops!  The old lady that owned the house before us loved pink.

When I read the box in the store it said you need a few days to let it dry or something so I'd have to do one counter at a time (we have 4 areas). Uck, not looking forward to that. But I guess if I start now, I'll get it done faster

There is also this product at Lowe's that seems pretty nice. It would look like Corian countertops. Just another option.  GL! Take the before pics, who cares if they are pink. It's want makes the after pics look even better. Plus you have to keep pics like this for scrape books and look back on them and laugh.

I really don't remember. I saw it when we were buying Christmas lawn ornaments I just checked the HD website and it doesn't list this particular product. They have every other Rustoleum product though

This does sound great. The one in HD only came as a can of tint, not a whole kit. It seems it will take similar amount of time to get it done so I'd still have to do it in pieces. I'll have to check out Lowes since we have a GC!

I have a formica built in cabinet in my bathroom, i betcha i can use this on it, right? wow, that would spruce up my totally 80s gray bathroom.
