I heard on the local news that 19 babies
have died so far this year left inside a hot car.... So sad  and we have a lot more hot days ahead of us....

not for nothing but i think you should have to pass a test and get a license to be a parent..... some people dont have common sense!

This just crushes me.
My babies aren't babies anymore.. but the last thing I do when walking away from my car is check the backseat and make sure the carseats are empty. It's just reflexive.
I still feel awful for all those families.. and those poor innocent babies.

I am always aware when my kids are in the car with me. And I even double check the back seat when I am by myself.
so so sad.

It's heartbreaking that it happens so often....and it's even more heartbreaking how many times it happens as a simple mistake. I truly feel for any parent who has to live with a mistake like that....

I am assuming that most of these cases were not intentional...it is parents forgetting their kids

you know, I was RIGHT where you were in opinion a year ago BUT then I heard what all the other mommies have said on here and REALLY thought about the circumstances.
I cannot imagine the pain that those parents have to live with, I cannot imagine going through that and dealing with that guilt
I think at the end of the day, it was a mistake with tragic consequences
I do respect your opinion though cause like I said, I shared it with you for a while

I am so glad my daughter is big to be easily seen and heard- because if she was still tiny and rear facing- I don't know. I want to think I'd never forget her and safety is one of the things I am uptight about- it's just a terrible thing to contemplate.
