7 month old not interested in finger foods

DS is 7.5 months and he is not interested in finger food at all. I have tried giving him things and two times he gagged and threw up once he had them in his mouth. He shows zero interest in them and closes his lips tight and turns his head. He has been eating cereal and baby food since he was 4 months. Any reason for concern? TIA

My almost 8 month isn't interested either. I am not concerned. I just continue to give them to her and eventually she will learn.

DD is 9 months and still isn't interested in finger foods. we have tried puffs but she just plays with them so we have to feed them into her mouth. she's gagged a few times but never threw up.

we give her shredded cheese which she seems to like but 15 min later she'll open her mouth and a bunch of pieces are still floating around in there lol

we tried eggs last weekend and she just wanted to play with them

Ped said it's fine and that every baby is different to just keep trying

My 8 mo is the opposite - will only eat table food but has no interest in eating off a spoon. She only just started eating solids regularly since she only now has some sort of coordination to get food in her mouth.

My first DS was like SweetTooths, DD. He was was self feeding by 7 months and on most table foods by 9 months.

DS2 is the opposite. Has little to no interest in finger foods. Has no pincer grasp at this age. He gags on a single grain of rice, and every time I put regular food in his mouth he gets a look on his face like he is being poisoned!

I am not worried, the Ped said self feeding was a 9 month milestone so we still had time!
