A little upset.....a little long...Updated at bottom..

I went to obgyn yesterday for a regular appointment. Everything is fine. I am going to be 12 weeks on sunday and since I went to the hospital for dehydration from throwing up from 7 weeks,I have been taking Zofran. It is the only thing that has gotten me to work and has stopped me from always vomiting. Well yesterday I asked the doctor if i could get a script and she said You'll be fine its going to pass soon. You dont need it. Well now Iam back to throwing up I have no zofran and iam sick as a dog. I cant miss any more work days. I have missed 4 already and i dont want to lose anymore. I have to drive 30 miles to work everymorning. I start at 7:00. I had to stop 2 times on the side of the road to throw up. I am at work now and dont know what to do?? I really need the Zofran and i really dont want to go back to the hospital to get another script...I have parties to got to this weekend and I am freaking out...

I would call her back and tell her again that you need that prescription. If it's bad enough that you ended up in the hospital there's no reason she shouldn't give it to you.

Is there another Doc in the practice? Maybe you could speak to someone else in the office?

Yeah, I am going to call them today. I have thrown up 5 times already in 2 hours. Its horrible...I wish it would stop..If they wont give me the script I will end up going to the hospital again which i really dont want to do..

Definitely call back. Tell them you cannot take days off of work and you cannot work in the condition you are in. I was on Zofran for my first pregnancy and it was the only thing that made it possible for me to function.

I'm sorry but that is ridiculous - just because you are 12 weeks doesn't mean you are automatically going to feel better unfortunately. Call her back and demand that she write you a script!

I would definitely call back. Is there another dr. in the practice you can ask for the script?

Call her back, tell her the hospital called to check on you and said your Dr. should give you a script if you have to.

That happened to me. My previous OB has little experience with hardcore nausea and vomitting and kept telling me I was gonna be fine. I ended up at 26 weeks in the hospital in very very bad shape dehydrated, anemic and with total vitmain defeiceny....

Dont let it get that bad.

Tell her exactly how bad it is.

So i left a message on the nurses line asking for a script about a half hour ago..not sure when they will call back. I have thrown up 7 times now since around 7:00am. Iam getting nervous..do you think I should go to the hospital?? I cant keep not even water down? How many times is too much throwing up? WWYD?

ok.. they called me in a prescription. Thank God!!! So finally i will stop throwing up..I cant believe how great this stuff helps me within 15 minutes I can drink fluids again...Thank you everyone for your help! I guess some of us just get it worse than others...I am so jealous of all you women who dont get this..It SUCKS!! lol.....

OMG, I would DEMAND a script be called into your pharmacy immediately. I hope you get it and FAST. Fingers crossed.

I am so glad that they called in your script for you. That was so unreasonable of your OB.
