A sneak peek at Alexandra's Christening party planning
Her Christening is on 10/3 at our house and I have been planning this silly dessert bar forever!! I went back to work FT earlier this month so it has been a slow process but I am almost done!
The table will be wrapped with a white skirt so you won't see any of the wood. I'm waiting for the last minute to put it on.
I bought white sheers to hang as a backdrop and hung the tissue poms last night. The "theme" is pink and white zebra. I had zebra table runners custom made that will be on all of the tables.
The cake will sit on the pink box in the middle. I just bought more pink M&M's to fix the apothecary jar. The other jar will be filled with Hersey kisses.
the cake is supposed to look like this, but all pink and white and the bottom layer will be zebra.
I'm also getting mini pink and white cupcakes from Cupcakes Catering.
Here's the other stuff that will be on the table:
-Cake pops
-French macarons
-Chocolate covered oreos in a zebra print
-pink rock candy
-pink lollipops
-pink and white gumballs
Napkins and utensils
Centerpieces I made - I have to finish the bottom

Thanks everyone -
I still have a bunch of stuff to do and time is running out! I have been going home on my lunch hour to do stuff!
I have thought about doing the party planning thing, but it's one of those things that I'll think about forever but will never do!  I actually just started a blog the other day. We'll see what happens!

They are REALLY easy - just time consuming and it can be expensive. When I set out to do them, I thought they'd be cheap. Not so much. They require a ton of ribbon! I used 250 pieces on each ball.
You cut the ribbon in 3 inch strips, make a circle with it and stick it into the styrofoam with a straight pin. I didn't realize ribbon can be $$$. If I ever do them again, I will start really early and collect ribbon when I see it on sale. It took me about 2 hours per ball. I did them while watching TV.

I see your stuff and I'm tempted to do the same in blue for Luke's christening... (damask instead of zebra)... those topiaries look so pretty!! But I can't go home on my lunch hour to do these things.

The girl I got all the printables from does have a blue version of the zebra!
