A Year In Review- What are your best and worst moments of 2010?
I thought it would be interesting to take a look back at this past year!
For me.........
Best:
Finding out I was pregnant, sharing the news, etc.
Moving into our new house!
Cruise to the Bahamas and Bermuda!!
Worst:
Finding out we were losing my son  (and all the things that went along with it.. the burial .. etc)
Witnessing my grandfather's health decline

Best:
finding out my biopsy was all clear
Worst:
-death of DH's best friend/our best man from liver cancer & the reverberations that followed
-finding out DH's best friend's brother had Hogkins
-finding out DH's other close friend/our groomsman had non-Hogkins
Honestly, while I have a thousand things to truly be thankful for...2010 is the worst year I've ever had. I've never been unable to pick myself up before but I can't seem to get to that point.

worst was hands down, the awful hit and run murder of one of my closest friends in March.
thankfully we have had a blessed year otherwise, and I find that after having the above experience, nothing bothers me the way it used to.
life is beautiful. and short. and I try to enjoy as much of it as I possibly can...even the drab, annoying, and mundane.

Best of 2010:
Birth of AnnaMaria, having her in our lives
Buying my parents' house
Worst of 2010:
Realizing that we would need to buy my parents' house 
The entire mortgage process
ETA: going back to work - worst of my lifetime, not just this year and I am still not over it.

2010 is the worst year in 20 years for me.
Worst: My DH was diagnosed with cancer;
his grandmother had a stroke (not yet recovered);
his uncle was diagnosed with cancer - stage 4, little chance of recovery;
my uncle had to have emergency quadruple bypass surgery and missed my DS's christening, Thanksgiving and Christmas;
I can go on and on but I'll stop..
Best: My beautiful son was born. When I hold him I forget everything else. Unfortunately, I can't hold him all day.
My DS is cancer free.

Best:
Getting married, having my parents and sister in NYC for more than a week!
Moving in with DH!
Watching DH's aunt fight a really good fight against pancreatic cancer. A year ago last week, they told her 2-3 months. Well, it's been 12 months and she's doing really, really well!
Our honeymoon to San Francisco, Napa, the Grand Canyon and Vegas!
Worst:
My best friend's two grandmas died with year - one in February, one in September.

Best:
-Watching my little niece develop during her first year of life.
-Repainting my den so that I actually like the color, and continuing to enjoy making small improvements to my home.
-Our baseball road trip to Philly, Baltimore and DC over the summer.
Worst:
-Dealing with a chemical pregnancy about a year after losing my first pregnancy.
-Accepting that it is going to take medical intervention to get me PG.
-Dealing with my dad's ongoing health problems, and hearing the worry in my mom's voice every day, and feeling helpless.
Honestly, I have felt like my life is stuck in for some time now, with dealing with TTC/IF, and trying to finish my dissertation with a deadline looming over my head. I have a feeling that 2011 is going to be a much better year.

Best - The birth of my DD 
Worst - Going back to work after Maternity leave.
I am very thankful that my worst, was nothing horrible. This was a great year for me.

And finally closing a chapter in our life that took over 5 yrs to do.
Worst: Something personal I'd rather not write about.  (nothing terrible..just personal.)

Having an ectopic pregnancy
Shauns Uncles Passing (Cancer)
Shauns cousin passing (freak accident)
My best friends mom passing (doctor negligence)
*so many other deaths this year
Finding out Shauns Aunt has cancer
Best:
My wedding
My nephew being born
Getting closer to Shauns dads family
2 Friends got engaged
ETA: Graduating College

Best - having my DD via VBAC, something I've wanted to do for two years; my DH getting a significant raise, and both of us finding out we were secure in our jobs.
Worst - the first three months of DD's life. I was a disaster.  Thankfully I have great friends who pulled me through
All in all it was a fantastic year

Best: my sister got married this year, I found out I was pregnant.
Worst: a couple of deaths of friends family members.

Best:
Probably when we received the results of a blood test for DS and it showed he did NOT have a specific chromosomal abnormality that I had convinced myself he did.
Worst:
The 2 weeks it took for those results to come back.
The realization that it doesn't end there-the relief was fleeting, there could always be something else.

getting married
my parent's buying vaca home in florida and getting to vacation there a few weeks ago, knowing we can use it anytime
my parents deciding to move to LI
lots newlywed vacations (pre-TTC!)
adding a second bathroom and re-doing parts of our home!
worst:
nanny passing away
being bed-ridden, sick and in the worse pain ever for almost 4 days on our HM

this post/question has made me realize that 2010 was a lot better than i thought. i complain a lot about the mundain... but when i really think of the whole year, i really can't complain.
the best was re-connecting with SO. in february, we found each other via FB and have been madly in love. my son and he get along well. i love his kids.
i really can't say i had a worst. i think i need to count my blessings more often. i'm a rich woman

Best: birth of my healthy son
Worst: my dad suddenly dying a month later
There are other great things and bad things, but these are TRULY the one best thing and the one WORST thing that happened this year for me.
