? about laparoscopy and TTC. WWYD?
I'm scheduled for a laparoscopy (to clear my blocked tube) on 7/14 and I'm due to O on 7/17 or 7/18 so we would need to begin BD 7/15.
I asked the Dr. if it was OK to begin trying right after and he said yes, as soon as I leave. I called the nurse for another ? and she didn't seem bothered that we would ttc so soon after either.
However, will I be in any postion to BD the day after the lap.? I have heard that the pain isn't too bad and I might be tired from anest., but I'm not sure.
WWYD? Have the lap. and TTC right after or skip the lap. this mo. and TTC naturally and if I don't get a BFP this month, have the lap. next mo. (I still have one ok tube)

I've never had that procedure, but IMO I'd nip it in the bud and have it done.
I'm not a doctor, but if your tube is partially blocked, I think it may raise your chances for an ectopic pregnancy.
In perfect conditions, I think I read that the chance of conception is only 20% each month. If it was me, I'd get all known "issues" taken care of to give me the best chances of conceiving.
Good luck!

I would get the laparoscopy done and see how you feel after. If you are feeling up to it BD, if not unfortunately you may have to wait for next month. Like the PP mentioned it's a good idea to get all the issues taken care of first. Good luck!

There is a chance of ectopic, but I think I always O from the good side b/c I only feel pain from that side. I think the block is at the opening b/c no dye went through.
I guess you are right. Worst case scenario, I'll just dose up on pain killers and do my duty.
