? about loose stool during antibiotics
DC is on antibiotics and has loose stool. First time ever. Is this a reason to change the meds or is it common? How do I handle this in school when DC is staining his underwear a few times a day? Any suggestions?

Yes it is common, no they don't generally change meds unless it is really bad diarrhea. Your ped should have you giving a probiotic. We use Florastor.

Yes - talk to you doctor about pro-biotics. I have seen some cause loose stools with my kids and it gets better with age. My one son is severe. He can't on handle certain antibiotics and he has had his changed because of this. Zithromax makes him throw up. Augmentin makes him has severe bathroom issues - can't even get to a bathroom in time--- bad!!
