Absolutely sick over this NYPD shooting/murder
Will Obama respond like he did to Michael brown? Will members of the White House staff attend these funerals?
What if the police begin acting like the atrocious human beings did after the two thugs died as a direct result of their illegal behavior?
Disgusting. And the cops are the ones who are racist?

"We have stressed at every rally and march that anyone engaged in any violence is an enemy to the pursuit of justice for Eric Garner and Michael Brown. We have been criticized at National Action Network for not allowing rhetoric or chanting of violence and would abruptly denounce it at all of our gatherings," Sharpton said in a statement.
Not a fan of him but happy this was said.
Blame the criminal.

Yet god forbid he send his condolences and prayers to the police officers & their families in his statement. He sure as shit made sure to inject Garner & Browns name in his statement, didn't he!
Fuc*er!

Re: Absolutely sick over this NYPD shooting/murder
The murder of these police officers is despicable. It is horrendous, and absolutely senseless. My deepest prayers and condolences go out to their loved ones and families.
However. These men were killed by ONE deranged person, who then, as I am reading, killed himself. This wasn't a battle cry by a group of people who set out to kill police officers. So cries of "they are animals", and talk of a "war on whites" are also troubling. This was not that. This was the action of one person. To call that one man an animal, I understand. But this wasn't a group of people, and to lump a group of people in with the perpetrator of this crime is unfair. The slain officers deserve all the respect in the world for the job they did, and sadly died doing. But I'm really disturbed and saddened by much of the response im seeing, as well.

Re: Absolutely sick over this NYPD shooting/murder
I think the problem is that the police were all grouped together with eric garner and michael brown.
This despicable person posted a picture of the gun, and said that he was going to "put some pigs in a blanket", and included the hashtags with brown and garner (although he was obviously so affected by their deaths that he couldn't even spell the name eric garner correctly-it's good to know he really understands who he is vindicating).
It's inevitable that he becomes representative of the filth that has been looting and acting like animals. He literally (and proudly) put himself in this position.

Last week they were chanting in the streets:
"What do we want?" "DEAD COPS!" "When do we want it?" "NOW!!"
That is a battle cry - and someone answered. There were assaults on officers on the Brooklyn Bridge last week, one of the men arrested ROR'd. It is clear that the city does not support the NYPD - that is what disturbs and saddens me.

There has most certainly been credible evidence the last 3 weeks of black gangs ordered to kill on duty and off duty cops. Cops (my family is NYPD, so it's not hearsay), have been ordered to their desks, do not serve warrants, do nothing unless an arrest is guaranteed, to protect themselves. There is a bounty on cops heads, where have you been?!
This POS mayor has incited this, instigated this brazen behavior. Allowed it. Encouraged it. He is no leader. He is a poor, pathetic excuse for a leader of any city, let alone NY.

Right. Plus many signs at the protest said NYPD cops are racist.
Racist means when a person acts based on color. The NYPD officers acted based on actions, NOT color. NYPD was dealing with 2 black criminals, who resisted arrest. That is NOT racist so clearly the police are being targeted and painted.

YEP! NYPD are not safe right now.
This has been all over my FB feed as well from NYPD who received this message tonight:
"FROM NYC PBA: Starting IMMEDIATELY- At least two units are to respond to EVERY call, no matter the condition or severity, no matter what type of job is pending, or what the opinion of the patrol supervisor happens to be. IN ADDITION: Absolutely NO enforcement action in the form of arrests and or summonses is to be taken unless absolutely necessary and an individual MUST be placed under arrest. These are precautions that were taken in the 1970's when Police Officers were ambushed and executed on a regular basis. The mayors hands are literally dripping with our blood because of his words actions and policies and we have, for the first time in a number of years, become a "wartime" police department. We will act accordingly. FORWARD MESSAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY TO ANY AND ALL MOS"

Absolutely sick over this NYPD shooting/murder
I just found out and I spent the day working in the Bronx today. I think it would be important for the Garner and Brown family to also step up and speak out against this, since people are using their names as the reason for the killings. I to have friends that are cops and I come from a family of retired cops.
Last weekend I working NYC and missed the "rallies" but saw all the barricades and cops

What scares me are the comments on news12 online. It terrorfies me to think that I like in a close proximity to these people.
Are there bad cops? Of course. And bad teachers, lawyers, doctors and priests. This is seriously scary. And the mayor needs to go.

My heart aches for these two families and any family that has a police officer in their family. I don't know how they can go to work everyday and fear for their own lives. Maybe instead of always blaming the cops and telling them they need to be "retrained", they should teach all the kids in the City schools that when a cop says stop or put your hands up, do it instead of of mouthing off and resisting and most of these problems would be solved. I think this is going to get much uglier before it gets better.

He announces to the public that he tells his son Dante how to keep "safe" from the police? As if they are the enemy, as if they are racist, simply b/c his son is half black? He basically made a mockery of the police, never supported them, there is more that others can elaborate on. But this stings the hardest for me. To announce to the public that he tells his son how to be safe from the police! OMG! Don't commit crimes and you will be safe "Dante", how simple is that????
Actions and words like his enticed the public, the animals, fueled their fire against the police! The same police that defend the city he is MAYOR of! Betrayal of their hard work is all he accomplished by his words and actions, and that has fueled the war against police by far!

I just saw this comment on someone's FB post:
"Too bad the cops killed weren't white" And people were agreeing with him!
This is definitely a mob mentality act, NOT just one angry individual. I know only one person carried it out, but there is plenty of support from his community concerning what he did. To pretend otherwise is naïve.

I am not condoning his actions at all, but if you think that is all it is, then you are sadly mistaken. I have been in the car while my DH has been thrown against the car during a "routine" traffic stop because they thought he had drugs in his car (and by the way, my husband has never done an illegal drug once in his life). And by the way, I was never searched. There are reports of police brutality in unfounded cases. I am not saying ALL cops are bad. But there are definitely some racist cops that go by the color of a persons skin. My husband has been taught to respect the police and thank god he has, but it is not as easy as just respect the cops. Especially if you live in a bad neighborhood. Unfortunately, there are a lot of animals in the world that ruin it for the good people....on both sides.
Please do not quote my response. I understand and it's unfortunate. But the reality is it just can't be perfect. It just can't. In bad neighborhoods, police have a lot on their plate to deal with, prepare for, think of, react to, etc. In certain areas, it's just not cut and dry. I was pulled over once and pretty much accused of drinking and driving b/c it was late and I had a CAR full of people in an area with many bars and clubs. Reality was I was the designated driver. But I was accused, asked where I was coming from, why I was out so late, etc. I was treated very harshly. I am a white female. My husband sat and watched while I was interrogated. So did my friends.
I had a breathalyzer basically forced down my throat. When I asked why I was pulled over b/c I was supposedly swerving out of a lane (it was BS, I did not swerve). Sometimes the cops HAVE to profile, they just do. In my instance, the cops profiled me b/c of the above factors? Even though I was innocent, and I KNEW I didnt swerve, I KNEW they were profiling me based on many factors. And I took the test, even though I KNOW my rights were broken and I was forced to take a test with no valid reason for it other than profiling. And you know what? I took the test, b/c I was INNOCENT and they sent me on my way. I was scared, b/c I was INNOCENT and it was very intimidating to be treated with such firm authority and be forced to take a test I did not deserve to be forced to take.
But you know what? I didnt make a stink. I didnt try to sue. I didnt call the papers or start a riot. I do think I was treated harshly and unfairly. It did sting and I did feel very violated. BUT I am smart enough to realize, and I accepted that THIS is what police do to keep people safe. They sometimes have to profile to keep the world safe. Sometimes it can get out of hand, and that's unfortunate, but more times than often, it is controlled and simply for our benefit as civilians.
So I do think they have to profile to check on certain factors that they think seem fishy. In my case, I could have easily been a drunk driver, out at 3am in an area with bars and a car full of party goers. But I was not and therefore I was on my way in a few minutes.

Well the mayor enticed this, as did many others, by riling up the public and backstabbing the cops. Honestly I wish these cops didnt need the pay or the benefits and they would all quit and let these communities that they try to keep SAFE crumble.
The man that shot them supposedly had just murdered his ex GF I read. So basically an animal who killed his GF decided to take more out on the cops that the mayor and the public both had a hand in, with their rallies and abuse of the cops. Another animal who will be hailed a HERO. DISGUSTING. I bet none of these animals who will applaud this animal will even THINK of the innocent woman he just murdered and that he was a VIOLENT Criminal that the police try to PROTECT others from.
Do NOT resist an officer, it''s his/her job to have power. If none of these men resisted, they would be ALIVE today. And they resisted b/c they were committing crimes, petty or not. Yes, that's their JOB. They have POWER. Just like parents have power over their children, officers do have power over civilians but the ANIMALS want to buck back and GOD forbid ANYONE reprimands these criminals. And they get hailed as heroes for resisting arrest while committing crimes and then this whole chain of events riles up the public and now this happens? People now going to attack and intimidate cops from doing their jobs? Don't be a criminal and odds are you won't get shot or killed by police. Pretty simple huh?
I am SICK over this shit. So sick of this world. And that MAYOR is a REAL problem. REAL problem. WHat a POS. What's he gonna say now?

Nothing in common at all. Two innocent men doing their job, selflessly protecting others. Two criminals (petty or otherwise) resisting arrest, breaking the law, who were killed b/c they had a scuffle with the cops b/c they resisted arrest.
