Advice about switching formula

My DS is just shy of 3 weeks old and has been on Similac advance but has major gas issues. He is passing gas nonstop!!!! I called the doctor and they said to switch to Similac sensitive. My question is how long does it take to see a difference in DC? Any information would be greatly appreciated....

Re: Advice about switching formula

I noticed a difference in about one weeks. We went to Gentlease from Similac Advance. Did not like Similac sensitive.

Re: Advice about switching formula

We actually saw the difference within 24 hours when we switched from similac advance to similac sensitive. But the dr said it could take about a week to notice.

It still made DD gassy and she had spitup issues.

We used the powder and it foamed really bad. I would make it ahead of time and leave them in the refrigerator.

Every baby is different though.

Re: Advice about switching formula

My Dr. said to give it at least 4 days before making another switch.
