Afraid of the dark
Sydnie has developed a fearof the dark. I don't know how. We never make references to "scary", "fear", "afraid". I'm wondering if it's the witch in the Wizard of Oz She has started covering her eyes when she comes on the screen.
If your DC is afraid of the dark and wants the light on to sleep do you let them keep it on?
She has a night light already. It's not enough.
I couldn't bear to let her be afraid so I put her lights on super dim.

Re: Afraid of the dark
Once DD started sleeping through the night we left her in darkness thinking if this was all she knew she wouldn't develop a fear of the dark. WRONG! It started at about 2.5yrs old she started requesting the lights to stay on. We got a pretty bright nightlight in her room and that satisfies her. I don't have a problem with it.
