After you get PG when do you plan on telling?

I am sure this has been asked before. When I got PG the first time I really wanted to wait until the end of my first tri to tell family and friends. I ended up spotting a lot in the beginning which made me nervous so I had to tell my mom at about 7 or 8 weeks and then everyone knew. I think this time we are going to wait unti about 12/13 week mark if we can. I know that I will be more relaxed with this pregancy since I have done it before. How about everyone else?

with pregnancy #1 I REALLY wanted to wait until our first sono at least to tell our families. I made it about 3 days after our BFP before I blurted it out cause I was too excited!

The second time around I'd loveeee to wait as long as possible. Oh and I'm staying team this time too.

I would love to tell everyone right away but I seen so many regret doing that. I know I will tell my parents and brother/sil right away. Family and friends will have to wait until second tri

6 or 8 weeks, family and bffs.
12 weeks everyone else

This time around I will only tell everyone after my NT Scan (12 weeks) so just DH and I will know =)

I will try to wait until after our 1st appt. to tell close family. I will tell everyone else after 12 weeks. I have a big mouth though so this will be hard for me

Going to try to wait until after the NT scan. I showed right away with my first pregnancy so I don't know if my belly will give me away sooner.

As long as humanely possible...Have some past medical issues, so I'm worried enough myself - I don't need to have everyone else's worry with me too...

With pregnancy #1, the entire USA knew in about 10 minutes....I don't forsee the next time being any different. I just can't help it...I get way tooo excited.

I would love to say we'd tell our parents immediately, but my mom has such a big mouth!! LOL

My guess is to wait to tell them at least after the 1st doctors appointment.

I don't know how the hell I would wait till 12 weeks. I would get too excited.

Well, we're doing IVF this cycle so *WHEN* it works (I'm being positive this month!) we'll know pretty early on in the pregnancy. I don't want to chance telling people that early. My goal is to try and wait until at least 8 weeks, then we'll tell our immeadiate families and a few close friends. Everyone else I would like to wait until 12 weeks.

I must say I do like the thought have having this awesome little secret between just DH and I so maybe I will be able to keep my big mouth shut!

"IF" it ever happens I will tell my mom, brother and sister. I would be way too happy and excited to keep it a secret from them Plus we are very close so I think that they would know whether I told them or not because I would be glowing too much

I want to tell my parents (b/c they know we are TTC) but I dont want to tell DH's parents until we have a sono because I dont want too many people knowing just in case something happens. I think I would feel worse if people kept saying "Im sorry....Are you okay???" .... I want us to wait a bit until we know its okay to come out to people.

we told our parents and siblings only when we got the BFP b/c we were so excited. I wish we waited until 8 weeks b/c our families want to blurt it out to everyone. But we are waiting to tell friends and co workers and the rest of the family until 12 weeks.

DH and i tried to set up a game plan on the whole telling peope about pregnancy but we keep going back and forth. Ideally I would like to wait until 12 weeks to tell extended family, work, acquaintances, etc. and after the first dr appt tell the parents and siblings.

I do have a few (very few) people that I would tell right after I got a BFP becaues I know if something did God forbid, go wrong I know they would be a great support system.

I would love to scream from the top of my lungs right now about it, but DH and I are going to keep it our little secret until the 12/13 week mark. It is fun just having our own little thing for now! My Mom once told me she doesn't want to know until then either. Although, I have a feeling she will know right away b/c she knows me so well!

I told my close friends and family right away. I couldn't keep it a secret.

I told friends around the 4th month mark and told work around 5 months.

Definitely wait 8 weeks to tell family and at least 12 for everyone else.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy (nobody but DH knew I was pregnant) at around 8.5 weeks.

My second pregnancy (with my DD) I told my BFF at 7 weeks after the first u/s but that was it. We didn't tell anyone else until 11 weeks when we saw my family (they live out of state). Once they knew, I told other people as I saw them.

This time, there are a few people I'd want to know right away b/c I know I'd tell them if something happened so there is no reason to not tell them right away. But, they'd be people I know would keep our secret. The others, not until week 12 or so.

i i'm thinkin i will tell my parents and brothers prob at 8 weeks and everyone else at 12

i think we'd tell very close family at 8 weeks and eveyrone else around 12!

I think we will tell my parents right away. But hold off on telling everyone else after 12 weeks, or maybe even wait and just show up with my big belly.
