Age cutoff for having a baby?

What is your personal age cutoff for having a baby? Just curious what your personal feeling on it is, obviously everyone is different.

I was 33 when I had dd. I will be 35 for dd2. If we went for a third I would be probably 37/38.

Edit: I was 31 when I got married and dd1 took awhile to conceive so that's just how it played out. Thankfully my second pregnancy was much easier to conceive. For me, I think my cut off would be 39 to deliver.

I had my 1st DS at 28, 2nd DS at 30, I am 32 and 30 weeks pg with twins. We will be done after this but if we had started our family later we would have no issues with us being older. For ME, I would stop trying at 40. But that doesn't mean I think people who have babies in their 40's are old. My cousin is 45 and she has a 2.5 yr old & a 5 month old. She didn't get married until she was 40 so she didn't have a choice to but have kids later. Both kids are perfectly healthy & her pregnancies were both picture perfect and full term natural deliveries.

My dr told me before 35 is ideal and thats what I stuck to

My personal cut off is 35. It's just what I'm comfortable with for a variety of reasons

I was 27 when dd was born, and hopefully I'll have another before I'm 30. If we go for a third I would probably be between 32-33

I had DS when I was 32, and I'll be 36 when I have #2. I think we're done, but if not we will have to hop to it sooner rather than later.

I am 35 and I had triplets at 32. If I go for number 4, it would be closer to 37/38. Not ideal and it makes me anxious to wait as I think I may want a fourth, but I need to breath and rediscover myself after diving headfirst into extreme motherhood for the past three years. I am open to all tests and screenings. I have a child with special needs already so I know the threshold of what I can and can't handle. I know SO many people having babies at 38 plus, and both my grandmothers had kids into their 40s, though, so I'm not that worried. 35 is an arbitrary number. Nothing magical happens to your ovaries on your 35th bday. It's just around the start time of the inevitable decline :)

35 for me. Reading advanced Maternal Age in a chart scares me lol. I don't know why but ever since I saw that in nursing school I have said no babies delivered at 35 or older. I am 32 and have 3 kids. We're done.

DH is 6 years older than me and I know he wouldn't want to have a newborn much past 40. If I try for any more kids, I'd say 35-36 is my limit.

35 would be my cutoff . Had my first at 31 and second will be at 33. My Mother-in-law is 78 and my DH is 35. He dislikes having an older mom as he constantly worries about her health, which is decent but not perfect. My mom had my sister at 38 and always tells me she wishes she had my sister at an earlier age as her energy level was a lot lower at that age versus late 20s/early 30s.

I had DD 1 at 35 and DD 2 at 37
Obviously I had children later in life and would not rule out a third at this point ( I am 39)
I feel like the answers to this questions has many variables
what age did you get married?
what age did you start having children?
was it easy or difficult to conceive ?
etc.....

I always wanted to be done by 30. I'm 30 now and have 2 boys. I'm not done. I now want to be done at 35, though if I won the lotto and could afford a 4th (or 5th!), I would push it to 38.

I was weeks shy of 32 when I had DD. I am due in a few weeks with #2 and I recently turned 35. If we were to have a 3rd it would be at 37/38 - but I'd be comfortable going to 39/40 in theory.

I just had my second at 37. If I was planning on a 3rd (I am not), I'd be totally comfortable giving birth at 40.

I'm 39 and can't imagine adding one more kid.

Really, it just seems like too much. I have friends that,have has their 3rd and some are on their first. Def not for me, but more power to them.

I had my ds at 25 and I will have my 2nd ds at 27. Most likely we will have a 3rd before I am 30. I think 35 is my max age.

I think 35-36 would be my age to stop. Had DD at 29 and I am 31 now and we are trying for our second. If we decide to go for a third then I would be around 35-36.

I was 35 when I conceived DS and 36 when I had him. My plan had been to have another by 38 and close up shop - but nature had other plans. After 3 miscarriages and nearly giving up on any plans for more, I'm currently PG and will deliver in July at 40.

Not my ideal, as this has been terrifying (and I envision being a very tired mommy) - but if it all works out in the end, I'll be glad we got over our fears.

(To answer the clarifying questions - we married when I was 30 and went back and forth as to whether or not we were going to have kids. Got PG the second month of trying at 35 and had DS 9 uneventful months later, then encountered problems when we tried again.)

I had dd1 at 27 And dd2 at 29. My cut off for having a third is 34. It's not because of fear of complications or Anything it's because I want to be able to relax and sleep sometime in my 40's. I wouldn't want to start the baby stage all over again with a huge gap between my kids.

I had DC #1 at 26 and then twins at 29. I'm 30 now and I'd like to have one more by the time I'm 32/33. I probably wouldn't go past 35, but I wouldn't be opposed to it if need be.
