Alaskan cruises.....
Thinking of going on a cruise to Alaska next year.. who has gone and what cruise line? Any feedback would be great. We were thinking of the Dawn Princess, it was refurbished in 2004. Sorry I did not post on travel section , more traffic on here.......

Re: Alaskan cruises.....
DH and I went on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon. We had an incredible time. We went on Serenade of the Seas through Royal Carribean. It was our first cruise and even before we got off, we wanted to book our next cruise w/ them. Not one complaint. The boat, service, food and ports were all great. Alaska is Gorgeous! I defintely recommend the helicopter to the glacier excursion. We actually booked most of our excursions through independent vendors. Let me know if you ahve any questions.

Re: Alaskan cruises.....
We took Dawn Princess last year. It was great but I am not really a cruiser.
The average age was 55-dead so maybe another cruise line caters to younger clientel?
We booked all excursions independently too. Make sure you do the Denali visit if possible, and my fave was the helicopter to the glacier as well.

We actually found on our Dawn Princess Voyage that there was a great mix of ages on the boat. We were actually surprised by that. I think in the beginning Alaskan cruises were done by more of the older folks, but as it's become more popular it caters to everyone.
