All Day Nausea
Started on Saturday. I was exactly 7 weeks. The only time I feel better is when I eat and about 15 minutes after. I am so happy to be pregnant but feel like crap! Any suggestions?

Re: All Day Nausea
I get really sick at night, but like you, if I do not eat all day long, the nausea hits me during the day as well. Keep snacking all day like you are doing. I also find any kind of candy/mints help me at work and in the car in between snacks, life savers, preggie pops, sour candy etc. italian ices...
I know nothing seems to help, there are lots of us in the same boat. I also get in bed really early so I don't have to be awake for it since my nausea is the worst at night time. Hope you feel better soon!!!

Re: All Day Nausea
I had that for about 7-10 days, but it recently subsided. My doctor prescribed Reglan. I took it a few times and it helped a little. I just tried to eat saltines, ginger snaps, etc. Feel better.

Re: All Day Nausea
I had it starting around 7 weeks too and I'm sure the high hormone levels make it worse since its twins (thats what I told myself ). Eating helped me and so did sour hard candies.
Feel better

Re: All Day Nausea
Just make sure to eat. It's a dang cycle. Mine just subsided a few weeks ago at 15 weeks. (I'll be 18 weeks Friday).
For me, starchy foods helped me tremendously. Try and not make yourself too hungry either. try and snack throughout the day.
Hang in there. Get whatever rest you need.

Re: All Day Nausea
ugh I am the same way! I have tried everything, saltines, gingersnaps, gingerale, toast, eating a little bit every few hours (even though I can't stand eating right now)......nothing is working, I am nauseous 24 hours a day....I am a teacher too so it is really hard to stand up all day in front of 30 7th graders!! so I don't have any advice but I just wanted to let you know you are not alone....i just keep trying to tell myself its a good sign that the baby is growing and my hormones are increasing....doesn't mean I don't whine about it all day long though I hope you find some relief soon

Re: All Day Nausea
my mom and grandma both told me to suck on a lemon, I thought it was strange, but then my MIL said the same thing, I tried it, and it definitely took the edge off...

Ditto!!! I have no advice, because I didn't have this problem. I did hear sour candies help though.

Re: All Day Nausea
One thing that really helped me was carbs. I still felt a little sick but not nearly as bad.

Re: All Day Nausea
So far, the only thing that really works for me is the Zofran. For me, it's pretty much all day, too.
For the first time yesterday, it actually woke me out of a sound sleep--at 12:30 this morning. And it wasn't the type where I could just go back to sleep and ignore it...
I guess the only advice I have is to look into the Zofran. I had this mindset that I was going to medicate only when necessary, since it took meds to get me pregnant--but I literally can't function at work without the meds.
Hope you start to feel better!!!

Re: All Day Nausea
This happened to me with my son and started at either 6 or 7 weeks, and ended at 12 weeks. It was soooo bad...the only thing that helped was eating. I would throw up every night. Carbs helped me feel alot better...i ate bagels all the time!
Feel better!!!

I would try ginger candy and ginger ale. Plus like the other girls suggested, carbs help.

Wow. I am surprised that they prescribed zofran so early. My OB didn't prescribe it for me til I was 10 weeks and had lost 13lbs and was totally dehydrated. I took it til the day my DS was born.

Re: All Day Nausea
Glad you're feeling a little better. I also found that eating carbs and really bland food helped. I was nauseous until I was about 12 weeks.
