Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
Im with you too. I hated to be preggo with DD and I hate it now and it a better pregancy than DD's. Its just not for me. I just want my body back. I walk sooo slow, the aches and pains here and there. Not being able to take anything other than Tylenol drives me nuts also.
I have 3 more months to go then the fun really starts.

I so do not love being pregnant-- and I have had a pretty easy pregnancy. I just look at it as a means to an end.

You are not the only one. I do count my blessings, of course, and am beyond happy to have gotten PG, but I am NOT loving my PG at all. With 1st DS I felt great, but had a previa the whole time and always had a looming sense of danger in the back of my head.
With this PG, DS is healthy and the PG is "normal," but I feel like shyte constantly and am completely done since pretty much the beginning of the 3rd tri.
It bums me out too, since this will be our last PG I kind of wanted to enjoy it.

same here. i guess i've always had this fantasy of loving being pregnant. in general, i strive to enjoy the journey towards a goal, rather than seeing it as just a means to an end. but at this point i really can't see pregnancy as more than a means to a (wonderful!) end. there's just nothing good about it for me other than the end result

I am NOT by any means one of those "OOooooooooooooh, I just Looooooooooooooove being pregnant" types - I will gladly sacrafice my body for 40 weeks for the return on my investment - but i'm not having fun surrendering my body to someone else - getting big and getting uncomfortable and having to pee 900x a day etc etc.
I can't complain- I have had a very easy pregnancy, and I don't really feel very different - but I still am not all rosey and cheesy about 'experiencing pregnancy'

Re: All you ladies seem to be so happily pregnant; I must be the only miserable pregnant woman.
I hated being pregnant the first time- I hated being told, you can't do this, you can't do that, I missed my glasses of wine especially during the holidays when everyone around me was drinking, I had horrible restless leg syndrome and felt like I was going to jump out of my skin every day.
So I completely understand! This pregnancy is easier on me- I think because I DON'T have restless leg for some reason- that was the WORST. My new ob/gyn put me on perscription meds for my horrible heartburn so I can actually eat, and I let myself have that glass of wine every now and again, instead of worrying about every little thing.
Don't feel like you are the only one- I don't hate being pregnant this time but I am certainly not loving it. If it wasn't for the special time I having with my DD before this child is born, I would be praying for early delivery too!

I am very newly pregnant and not very happy. I cannot believe I am saying this, I am usually not so selfish, but timing could have been better. We were trying for 6 months and nothing happened so we planned a vacation and some sad family news just happened and I found out this week I am pregnant. I have a million questions and feel so unsure about everything. My husband says everything will be fine and is so happy, but I cry. I am not ready, I thought I would be when it happened but I am not. I feel like a horrible person!
I don't know about your family situtation but it sounds like that is putting a cloud over your pregnancy. It must be hard. Plus you were planning all along to be pregnant, than the minute you stopped, you were. That is sense of loss of control! It also is rough in the beginning with your changing hormones. Hang in there- like most of us on this thread who said we didn't love being pregnant- the end is very worth the means!

It always makes me feel very guilty when I read about all of the super happy pregnant women. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I hear ya... Listen, pregnancy has it's moments, but I don't even understand how someone can love every minute of it.. Different strokes I guess.

You are sooooo not alone! I feel sick when I wake up, then exhausted all day, then sick again in the evening. I have to remind myself that I am grateful to be pregnant when I start to get frustrated with the way I feel. I just keep thinking, I can do this and it can ALWAYS be worse. I'm only 15w5d so I have a while to go! I do miss my old life though. But I figure, once DC is here, that life is all but gone anyway!

Good- I felt the same way when I was first pregnant with my DD. I felt like an awful person but believe me you are not
