allergic reaction? to what eggs? aquafor?
Ped said we could start eggs at 7m. So I've been giving egg yolk here and there for about a month. So today I tried to give DS an omelet with both yolk and whites.
He gobbled it up, seemed fine right after. A few hours later (like 3) I gave him bath and after the bath, lotioned him up, he seems dry so I used a dab of aquafor on face and on legs and arms.
Like 10 minutes later I see little red dots all over his face, but not his legs. No swelling, and he went to sleep just fine.
I'm not even sure what gave him this reaction.
Any input?

i highly doubt it's the aquaphor.
so it must be the egg. he might be having a reaction to the protein in the egg white.

Have you ever used aquaphor before?
Three hours later seems a bit late for an allergic reaction to the eggs, but its possible. Did the spots go away?

I agree. Trip breaks out in eczema when he eats an allergen (through my breast milk).

I think you guys are right, its probably the egg, and it does look kind of like the eczema pictures I just googled.
I guess we try it again next month? How does that work?
I'm so bummed because it was one of the first real, nutritious (fat, protein, vitamins) table foods that he fed himself and loved.

Sorry Shana, can you just scramble to yolks without the whites?
