Has anyone used them for kitchens or baths?

Re: Allure Home Improvement
We ended up having them come out for an estimate and they were very high. Every seasons beginning and end I still get calls from them telling me about their begin and end of season specials.

Re: Allure Home Improvement
They were very pricey. We had gotten a quote from them that in our opinion was very high. It was for our kitchen. They do everything though. They do everything over again, even the walls. But the quote was high for not even middle of the cabinets, they were the cheapest cabinets that they had and they wouldn't wood, they were plywood. So we went somewhere else. But yes, they do have a good reputation.

Re: Allure Home Improvement
They are extremely overpriced. My friend used them a few years ago and they did a crappy job and she said she should have sued them but didn't. She paid someone else to fix their mistakes.
Just putting them out there. Their rep is because of that show...forgot the name.

They are crazy expensive and will give you a big time sales pitch. The guy kept calling us too. They have to charge so much to pay for all the advertising they do, I'm sure.

They are known because of the "extreme makeover home edition" show.
I have read a lot of bad rep on them.

Re: Allure Home Improvement
Thanks for the feedback. Personally I felt that they were too comercialized.... so I figured they were gonna be really over priced. They are coming today anyway, if anything we can maybe get some ideas.

that's what turned me off. They came in for an estimate for our basement. It was 2.5 x other estimates! but they came down to just under double since I was a teacher
I wanted to open the door and yell get out when he showed me a ripped out article from a magazine from 2005 stating how home improvements will raise the price of your home...ummm it's (was) 2008 - the housing market is a lot different. I felt he thought I was an idiot

Re: Allure Home Improvement
They have done a fair amount of work in my development and all of the people I have spoken to have had complaints. They sub contract out most of their work, so your satisfaction is largely dependent on the sub contractor doing your work.

Re: Allure Home Improvement
What a waist of time!! They scribbled down some measurements and told us it would cost $200... yes $200k to renovate the kitchen!!! Granted the kitchen is about 600 sq feet but come on!!!

I know and they wont even give you a preliminary design without a $500 deposit.

That is why we ran away too. They gave us now direction at all for our kitchen. I was telling the designer what I thought we wanted based on the free design I had gotten from Home Depot. I thought that is why they were the designer. I guess not. And 200K, that is insane. Understand your kitchen is large, but that is crazy.
