Do you think you have to completely entertain your family coming OOS for your child's Baptism?
Edit: thanks girls, I guess I needed a vent cause I am already stressing and it's not until the end of the month.

Never underestimate the power of baked ziti made with jar sauce. easy as pie, about $15 feeds 250 people, serve with garlic bread and salad. cake. Or buy pizza. Or NC's version of pizza.
if that's no bueno, you need to ask yourself, WWJD?
eta- if I was traveling to NC for a baptism, it would also be a bit of a vaca for me. I would not want to A: feel obligated to attend 15 meal parties. or B: expect the hostess to feed me every meal.

Re: am I wrong??? (OOS baptism) WWYD?
I can def answer this since 99% of my family live in LI and I don't.
We do things with them, sometimes it involves food, but it's up to you what you want to do. There's no right or wrong.
I've had people here before baptisms, but my family doesn't expect to be entertained cause they decided to make a weekend out of an event.
Plus my family love that i'm only 45 mins from foxwoods and mohegan sun
I've also taken them sightseeing the day before my nieces baptism.
I don't get to see all my family very often, so when they do come up, i try to meet with them at least for lunch and a couple hours.

You're not wrong. People are crazy if they think you're going to do backflips for them with a new baby! I think what you have planned is more than sufficient.

Re: am I wrong??? (OOS baptism) WWYD?
We live OOS. Our family is all over the place. For DD's baptism we found a hotel for most of them. We live in a 2 bedroom apt and did have my sister & her family stay with us due to their financial constraints. There was no way they could swing airfare & hotel for 4 of them. I was just happy they came. They all arrived Saturday afternoon, that day some went to a museum and some went to American Girl. We took everyone out to dinner that night. The baptism was Sunday afternoon. We didn't do anything before, but had a nice celebration at a restaurant afterwards and some came back to our apartment for a little while afterwards. It worked out really well.
Good luck!
