No way. This is a money grab by them to get people to buy prime. I hope it backfires. Diapers.com,if they were smart, should start a program like amazon mom. Grab those displaced moms!
Diapers.com is owned by Amazon. They have cornered the on line diaper business, shoe business (zappos, 6pm), and I have no idea what else.

We have prime. We have for years. We buy so much on amazon b/c most stuff is cheaper and we would spend more than the 79 on shipping if we didn't get it. It's totally worth it if you order alot

So i went back and re- read everything from amazon mom.
This is my understanding about it. After the 24th you now get the 15% amazon mom discount on diapers and wipes plus 5% subscribe and save.
This doesn't matter if you get prime or not since their not shipped 2 day anymore.
So the only benefit you get from buying the prime is the free 2 day shipping on other amazon items, not anything thats subscribe and save.
For us, theres really nothing that needs 2 day shipping to make it worth the $79. They have enough super saver shipping which usually gets here within 3 days anyways.

No, we will not be paying for prime.
I bought EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING off amazon when we lived in Manhattan. Now we live in the suburbs so it's pretty easy to drive and buy things. I love shopping sales and getting good deals while touching and feeling.
If we still lived in Manhattan, I would totally have bought prime.

I'm confused. I had prime. then i switched to amazon mom because it was free. I got a notice that said I will have amazon mom until this november. do i need to get prime now or can i wait until december when my amazon mom subscription ends? I need it for the free shipping. i buy almost everything on amazon. except, ironically, for diapers. (I buy them at target.) but im almost done with diapers and pull ups, anyway...

I'm spoiled...I'm mad bc I got 30% off  I thought those that joined when it was still 30 would keep that.
This is what is irking me. When they dropped the discount to 20% for new items they swore up and down that existing subscriptions would be able to keep the 30%.
yup...I feel totally used. I feel like they put out this amazing deal and geared it to moms...as soon as we all jumped on and spread the word for them BOOM...GONE! Thats not right. makes me really not want to give them my money anymore.

This is not true. Their email is not clear. If you go to their FAQ you will see the following:
What Happens to My Diapers and Wipes Discount if I Don't Have Amazon Prime?
If your free shipping benefits are over and you have not yet joined Amazon Prime, you will lose the additional 15% Amazon Mom discount on diapers and wipes subscriptions, but will continue to receive your current Subscribe & Save base discount on existing subscriptions. To review your subscriptions, please visit the Your Subscribe & Save Items section in Your Account.
If you do not have any more earned two day shipping benefits, then you must buy Prime in order to get 20% off discount for the diapers and wipes
