Honeslty? No way, but not because I'm scared of it, but because I'd be worried about people constantly parking outside or knocking on the door, playing practical jokes, etc.

No. First I am a total chicken and eventhough I don't even know if I believe in paranormal activity it would still creep me out.
Also as PP said, I would hate all the people driving by, coming on the lawn.

scariest part of all -- the murderer is up for parole in july of 2011.
not that he'll get it but ya never know.
his sentence is only 25 years to life and since he was so young he's only in his 50's now and goes up for parole every two or so years. SICK.
some people need to just be LIFE - no number, no years, no questions.

He killed 6 family members and only got 25 years to life?? He should've gotten that for EACH family member...not served cocurrently. He is clearly disturbed--he killed children!!

I agree. There was no real murder there but it is a tourist attraction. My friends and I when in HS drove to it several times
Um, yes there was. 5 people were murdered there (or was it 6?).

sorry I was thinking of something else. I remember seeing a story about the making of the movie. The real house wasnt used - that is what I was thinking of and then realized

The house does look beautiful, but no way, no how would I live there even if it was free. I could never live in a house knowing people were murdered there. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

No way. Not b.c of a fear factor - I don't believe in all of that but I do worry about the safety and privacy of my children - I would worry about what kind of people might be trying to walk onto my property or drive by my home. The privacy issue is a no go for me. I would think the house would get a lot of unwanted attention.

If I had the money I think I would. The house is beautiful. I love the boat part.
Every house has a history. People die in houses all the time, from natural causes to suicide to murder. So if the history of the house was disclosed on every sale, no one would buy any of them every again.
