Another facebook wwyd...
My boss's (who is a close friend of mine)teenage daughter has friended me on Facebook. So she had a comment on a picture, and I thought the picture was of her. So I clicked on the photo and it was some girls from her school. She had clearly made a comment on the photo, and the girls response was abusive, shocking and this leads me to think that her daughter might have some problems with bullies in school.
Should I tell her mother? She does know that I am her daughters friend on Facebook...and I am sure that her daughter knows that I would tell her mother that we were friends on facebook.
What would you do?

So, is she the bully, or the one being bullied?

Re: Another facebook wwyd...
Either way I think I would talk to her mom about it. I would want someone to tell me if they knew something like this was going on with my daughter
Either that, or if you have a comfortable enough relationship directly with her, I'd talk to her first and see what's going on...
Definitely a tough situation

Re: Another facebook wwyd...
i would show the mother and let her decide if she should do something. i would just say you'd like her to see something.

I would show the mother and say "I'm not sure if this is a cause for concern, but this is what I saw on facebook...." Let her come to her own conclusions.

She sounds like she needs your protection and maybe even befriended you initially so you would "help" her. Kids do this that a lot when they think a grown-up is cool(like you Rach!) I would tell Mom ASAP- I always believe in full disclosure when you are talking about bullying or emotional problems with kids.
