Another infant(toddler) on lap flying question. Best seats?
Where would be better to sit with a 22 month old on my lap, window or aisle seat? My husband will be flying with us as well but there are only 2 of us and the rows all have 3 seats so we need to decide. Any other tips?? I also just realized we have a very short layover. (Only 35 minutes). Is this going to be crazy with a toddler?

I've always done the window but all the flights I've been on have been short. The aisle probably us the best so you can stretch out.

I prefer the aisle so its easy to get up and walk around if.need be. The short layover probably will just mean you are getting off one plane and getting right on another. Make sure you tell the flight attendants that you have a connection. 35 minutes is tight evenn without a toddler. It takes people so long to deplane because people don't want to pay extra for checked baggage.

Since you have such a short layover definitely try and have your seat moved to the front of the plane. As DD got closer to 2 I preferred the window seat for her this way if she fell asleep I could relax. I generally only did the aisle when she was an infant.

I also vote for the aisle seat so you can walk around if need be. 35 minutes is a very very tight turnaround, so good luck with that. I flew last week from the UK to Florida with my two kids, one is almost two and is a lap child, its bloody hard work, but worth it. we had a bulkhead seat and the kids were able to play on the floor. Mys stroller was waiting at the gate when we got off the plane, that made it so much easier.

We booked an aisle and a window when we flew with DS at 12 months and again at 18 months. When you get to the gate, go to the agent and tell them you are traveling with a toddler and ask if anyone booked the middle seat in your row if they can be moved. For those trips we took (actually 6 flights total) it worked for us 5 times and we had the whole row to ourselves! On the first flight, they actually blocked the middle seat when I made my reservation when they saw I was traveling with a baby.
Good luck!
