Any dairy allergic Moms give milk other than soy?
Just curious. We are thinking of switching because of all the bad things I am reading about soy.

we alternate between rice and almond.
hemp chocolate milk as well.
dr is very against soy milk.
since josh doesn't have a true allergy to milk...more like milk aggravates asthma, he will have cows milk here and there as well.

We only give DD soy. What have you been reading about it? I've been on the fence about it lately.

I have also read a few books that talk about soy-mimics estrogen, may be cancer causing etc.
Janice-No reaction to almond milk? I just bought it to try it. I am so paranoid about the tree nuts...he tested positive for peanut around 5 months. Was retesed at 12 mos and tested negative to peanut and almond but positive to pistachio I have tried rice milk but am not happy with that as it has very little fat and not many other vitamins and it a total carb. I was looking at coconut milk today....

My son drinks almond milk. It tastes much better than soy milk and doesn't have the estrogen. You have to watch that they are getting enough calcium since there is virtually none in almond milk. I have a friend who gives her son potato milk bc he can't have any of the other alternatives.

My boys had a severe dairy allergy and were on Elecare. We started giving organic whole milk mixed with their formula about 2 weeks ago and their allergy seems to be gone. They have had no reaction. knock wood. Do your boys still have an allergy to dairy?

I started buying almond milk too. DD is only 4 months but I wanted to get my older son used to almond milk b/c I don't even want to have milk in the house when the time comes.

I started mixing BM with rice milk to wean, and now he's on Lactaid. He hasn't had any bad reactions to the Lactaid, so I am hoping the dairy allergy is gone. Dr.said we will try cows milk in a few months.

Yep-only Declan-Ronan is on Organic whole cows milk. He bvreaks out in hives even if somone kisses him who's had milk and has also tested positive at 12 months

We use Lactaid with Alexa. She has done really well on it!! That and she loves the Lactaid Cheese

I wish I could-but Declan actually has an allergy to milk protein-not just lactose
