Any Filipino Parents - Baptism Related
I'm not Filipino but my husband is and we're having our daughter baptized. I have already chosen Godparents for her but his mother is asking us to honor their tradition of having multiple Godparents. Have any of you done this and if so how is this incorporated during the actual baptism at the church? I alwasy thought only one couple would stand at the altar. Any help would be great. Thanks.

My DH is Filipino too. We chose to only have one set of godparents, but I've been to many baptisms with multiple. Only one set of godparents will actually be listed on paper as the godparents, but you can have as many up there with you as you want. My BFF is also Filipino and she had 5 sets of godparents..but only one set was able to sign as the witnesses.
