any insight? peeing in house.
Past 2 days Marty has peed in the house in my hallway. Yesterday I attributed it to our own error of not paying attention to his signals. Today, again I came home from picking up the kids at school and didn't bring him immediately out. He peed in the hallway. Now he just did it again an hour later! What gives???
He is a 7 month old puppy.

Shamrock started going backwards around 7 months also. He started peeing in the house even though he was trained to go out. It lasted a few weeks. I don't know why it happened but when I looked it up it seems pretty normal.
If you want maybe you can bring him to the vet to check he doesn't have a urinary infection

I would take him to the vet just to get any medical issues ruled out, and if it isn't medical go back to whatever routines you used to do the initial housebreak. It will remind him that there is a routine and you are in charge of it. It is normal, puppies test just like kids!

Although a visit to the vet couldn't hurt, it seems that you just have to be more diligent with "getting him out right away". A seven month old dog does not have any staying power. In addition, this is an age where we still see accidents even in dogs that are just about fully house trained.
Is he neutered?

yep he's neutered. i have to be more diligent i guess- i had a false sense of confidence about him and sometimes i forget he is still just a puppy.

If it's the same place in the hallway that he's been peeing, you could also try cleaning it with one of those special pet cleaners - like Nature's Miracle or something along those lines. It's supposed to help kill the pheremone smell better than regular floor or carpet cleaners, so he won't keep trying to mark that as his spot to pee.
