any nite time potty training advice
Jenna is fully trained during the day, but still wears a pull up to bed. I limit what she drinks before bed and have her go to the bathroom but she still wakes up wet. Do I bite the bullet, put her in undies and just keep washing sheets and mattress covers (she is in a big girl bed)

Re: any nite time potty training advice
I asked my ped about this when we were pottytraining and he said that while they can learn pottytraining in the day, you can't really teach pottytraining at night, and you just have to wait until they are physically ready. He suggested we move her out of diapers once she had a good 4-5 nights of waking up with a dry diaper, which is exactly what we did.
If you try to do it too early and they have a lot of accidents, it can totally undermine the daytime pottytraining success.

Re: any nite time potty training advice
We honestly let her really get the handle on daytime potty training.
She slowly stopped wetting her pull-up at night. I went to once or twice a week and then once a week and then she went two weeks. It was at that point we sat her down and talked to her about her underwear and how she doesn't do pee-pee in them. And that since she was SUCH a big girl we were going to start wearing them at night and she had to wake us up if she had to go to the bathroom.
And it's been two months-ish, knock wood and we've been accident free!

Re: any nite time potty training advice
There is really nothing you can do to train her. I do know that Joey never pees in the middle of the night it is always after 5:30 - 6:00 am. I try to tell him every night that if he wakes up and has to go to come get me, call me etc. I have found him on my floor next to my bed wet because he has tried to wake me up, but will whisper since I am sleeping, LOL.
Unfortunatly he had a week or so of no wetness and I took the pull ups off and now he won't wear them even if I know he drank alot before bed etc.
My 5 year old niece is still wearing a pull up, or at least she did as of January when she turned 5.

I was told the same thing by my ped. It has something to do with their bladder muscles, and you just have to wait...
Rj wets the bed alot... so I go back and forth with a pull up at night...
Right now, its more about me being trained to not give liquid 2hrs before bed, and making him pee like 3x's 1 hr before bed time...
it sux!
