Need Potty Training Advice
My DD turned 3 in July. She has been going poop on the potty for the last year and has only had toruble with peeing on the potty. I think we started with underwear this past spring. She only wears pull ups at night and half the time they're dry in the morning.
The problem is daytime consistency. She has weeks where she does great and then weeks like the past two where she has "a little accident" and her underwear and shorts are wet by the time she gets to the toilet. I have done everything I can think of - potty treats, Potty Power DVD, toys etc etc etc. I am at my wits end. The final straw was yesterday when she pooped her pants and continued playing like nothing even happened. I am afriad she will regress back to diapers and I don't know how to get her to stay dry and clean. Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else??? Where do i go from here? Back to pull ups?

Re: Need Potty Training Advice
Since she is over 3 and clearly on her way, ditch the pull-ups!! Don't go back at all. Even at night, if she's waking up more dry than not, go for it. Gives lots of incentive... throw away her dirty underwear and tell her no new toys or some other incentive. Good Luck! My son was the same way, and then one day it just clicked.

Re: Need Potty Training Advice
Thanks - glad to hear I'm not the only one. It is soooooo frustrating but trying to keep it in perspective. Maybe we'll ditch the pull ups tonight.
