Any other 8/9months old refusing baby food and only want finger foods?

My DD is 8 months, she used to eat whatever we gave her...maybe this is a phase, but now she turns her face at baby food and wants finger foods (cut up waffle, puffs, cut up pasta, etc).

This just started the past few days...she really can't self feed yet, I mean she puts the food in her mouth and then tries to chew (still holding the food). She eats it, and she has no teeth yet so some of it goes in, some of it falls out...It's a learning process I guess, just wondering if anyone else's baby did the same thing?

Eliza started doing that at 9 months old, so we stopped giving her baby food and went to table food. She hasn't stopped eating since!

i still try to feed DD baby food just so i know she is eating, but she more or less wants what we are eating
