yeah it was tough turning 30- 4 years ago!!! I am hitting the big 35 and although it is just a number- part of me is sad because life is going by very quickly.....

I was actually ok with it...I "feel" 30. DH's younger bro is 23 & we are at SUCH different points in our lives that he made me feel like an old fogey. At least now I don't feel like an old 20-something...my behaviour is age-appropriate

I turned 30 in may and it has been tough. I think because my life is not really where I want it to be. To make matters worse my DH really dropped the ball for celebrating my 30th so it has been tough. I was also diagnosed with diabetes the day before so what can I say it has stunk.
But I know that I have to change things and I working on it.

I'm turning 30 soon and it doesn't bother me, but a lot of my friends are having trouble with it. I just tell them that it's just the next day of life - it's not like you wake up that morning and all of a sudden everything changes. You're the same person you were yesterday, when you were 29. Although, I know that probably doesn't help them because it's all mental, but I try!

Realizing that I'm getting older has been really hard for me, but not just that I'm getting older, but also my parents, brothers, friends, etc... I see everyone aging and it's so scary to me. It's made me realize how fast time goes and how short life is, and how the people I take for granted won't be around forever. I kind of wish I could freeze time for a while and keep things the way that they are. The "future".. the things that once seemed "so far away" are here or quickly approaching and it freaks me out a lot. I worry all the time about whether I'm making good choices and making the most of my life right now because I don't want to look back later with regrets. Yeah in the last year or two I've been thinking about this stuff a lot. But I find what helps for me is to just appreciate every day that I get to live and try to be as happy as I can, this helps me accept the age thing better.
