I have a cherokee. No problems at all and it rides and drives really nice. I am not sure though if when the lease is up I will get another. I think I want to try something else.

Re: Anyone drive a Chrysler Pacifica or a Jeep Cherokee??
We have a Jeep Cherokee. We almost never use it.
Pros: 1. smooth ride 2. fast! (we have the V-8 Hemi) 3. 4WD is excellent in bad weather
Cons: 1. it sucks on gas 2. backseat is too small for passengers 3. storage capacity is on the small side for a "SUV" (our Prius hold more) 4. awkward windshield angle and where the roof meet...makes it difficult to see traffic lights (for DH and I anyway) 5. we had a number of issues with our transmission and electronics. 6. the salesman also mislead us when it came to the service center (Hicksville dealership & service center). It's a pain to get an appointment and they never have loaner cars available.
ETA: We won't be getting another one.

My parents have a Pacifica and I love it! I would definitely consider buying one when we need to go bigger.

OMG my jeep s awesome on gas, but then again, I am comparing that to my huge Yukon, we could spend almost $200 per week in gas, my jeep takes $30. My 3 kids fit in the back seat of the jeep, the pacifca had captain seats so we could only fir 2 kis in the back sea, and the 3rd seat in the back was too close to the back door, if you get rear ended someone would get hurt. The cheaper models come with a bench seat.

Re: Anyone drive a Chrysler Pacifica or a Jeep Cherokee??
I inherited a jeep grand cherokee when I got married. It is a 2002. My DH has a work vehicle so I alternate between his car (normally winter months) and my car a sedan the rest of the time. I personally do no like the Jeep. Although I am not a huge SUV fan. I am 5ft tall and find it has blind spots and not comfortable for long trips. I much rather drive my car. However, the jeep is better in the winter. I think it is terrible on gas but that is also in comparison to my awesome toyota. My SIL had a pacifica and did not like it. Gas was a huge issue for her.

Our Jeep isn't too far off from our Excursion when it comes to mpgs. Our Excursion gets 8.6mpg and the Jeep is 12mpg, BUT we know that's due to the Hemi engine.
The rear seat is fine for kids, but not ideal for adults...well not for any length of time. Our Prius has more leg room in the rear than the Jeep.

my boss was leasing a Pacifica and even though she liked the car, she said things were starting to break/fail 6 months before the lease was up. she is leasing an Acura MDX now.

Re: Anyone drive a Chrysler Pacifica or a Jeep Cherokee??
We have a Pacifica and I love it -- except the gas milage (about 13/gallon) I like the captains chairs in the second row because I have 2 carseats and you can still fit between them to access the 3rd row. (as opposed to a bench seat that you need to fold down to access 3rd row) I've heard about blind spots, but I havent had a problem at all. The worst blind spots ever were in my old Camry actually.

Re: Anyone drive a Chrysler Pacifica or a Jeep Cherokee??
I have an 05 Jeep Cherokee, but only 6 cyl. I thought that would be better for gas since I was going back btwn Flushing and Huntington, but not so at all. It gets 13-15 around the town...if I take a long drive, it can get 20+, but that is not the norm.
It is smooth, but I agree with the size. the back and storage is limited - I don't know what we would do if we had a 3rd kid (new car)
We rented a Nissan Pathfinder on vacation and I was happy that our double stroller fit in without taking off the wheels. We also rented a Nissan Murano and it had more back seat room (but that we rented with only one kid)
The huge plus was that it was cheap.
