Re: Anyone else NOT doing the whole temp, ovulation kit etc?
Posted by TaraGotHutched
We're not officially TTCing until September, but like Jess (davenjess) due to age I want to give it all I got. I've learned so much from the girls here on TTC, so I use fertilityfriend.com, observe CM and will use the CBEFM. I wouldn't have bought the CBEFM on my own but luckily I have a great friend who's loaning it to me. Temping, charting- that will be the last resort if we have trouble. Everyone's different!
if you are using someone else's CBEFM remember to reset it according to the instructions it stores your info from month to month and you could miss a POAS day

Re: Anyone else NOT doing the whole temp, ovulation kit etc?
We did that the first month. After being 5 days late & getting AF seconds after POAS it felt like war!
Immediately I purchased Robitussin & Pre-Seed. I also decided to by OPKs and to be honest. I'm VERY glad I did. My O date is very different from what I thought it was & what mymonthlycycles.com predicts.
I'm hoping not to get into temping & charting, but we'll see what each cycle brings before I completely dismiss it!

Right now we're going with the flow too. I'm tracking my cycle on mymonthlycycles, but we are BD'ing on "off" days, as well as also trying on the right days too.
We'll continue to go with the flow until we are settled in our new home and if nothing happens before that time, then we'll really start temping, charting, etc.

Re: Anyone else NOT doing the whole temp, ovulation kit etc?
I started off 3 cycles ago just tracking my cycles and seeing what happened. This cycle I used OPKs but we got stressed with moving and our new house so BD-ing took a backseat unfortuntely. I plan to use the OPKs again next cycle if nothing happens.

We are just taking the whatever happens, happens approach. He would really rather wait another year, so we're not going crazy right now.

Re: Anyone else NOT doing the whole temp, ovulation kit etc?
I want to go with the flow, but I am having a hard time not trying to plan and control things. Once I realize that I want something, it's really tough not to charge full steam ahead....probably not the healthiest of attitudes, but what can you do?

Re: Anyone else NOT doing the whole temp, ovulation kit etc?
We just officially started TTC this month. Last month I started doing the basal temp charting thing, but it is really hard with my schedule because I don't consistently wake up at the same time. I have a lot of signs of ovulation, so I am just really going on my instinct with that now. I may go back to charting if I get discouraged with this method!

After we had a MC in May we're just going with the flow. No charting or temping or OPK's. If nothing happens in a year we've agreed to be more aggressive.
