Re: Anyone ever experience both back labor and front labor?
Um, ME! My labor started in the front, and moved to my back within 4 hours. I had all back labor for about 3 hours until I got my epi. My epi stopped working a few hours later, so before they fixed it, I got to experience labor in the front again.
Back labor was by far the absolute worst pain I ever felt, worse than breaking my knee. I know now that if I had only front labor, I could have done it without the epi for sure. Those contractions were small AF cramps compared to my back labor.

Re: Anyone ever experience both back labor and front labor?
I had all back labor with all 4 kids. I was actualy pertified each time that labor would be in the front- thank god it never was. Everyone says back labor is so much worse but honestly, I am so grateful for my back labor. I think it's whatmade me pull through. I think front labor would have been worse for me. I have never had a cramp in my belly other than when I've had a stomach ache. Ovulation and AF is always felt in the back. I think I would have been in more pain if the labor was in the front.
Also with having back labor I was able to walk through my contractions and that helped a lot with making the baby drop quicker b/c I was always up and moving. I will say being trapped in a bed with back labor w/o an epi is not exactly fun; it's very very uncomfortable!
