Anyone ever lose their LIRR Monthly ticket?
I am so upset! I had the ticket in my bag YESTERDAY and today it's gone, of course on the the 1st day of the month  Does Mail & Ride offer any sort of replacement tickets or am I just out of luck (and $300)?

I think you are out of luck :( This is from their terms & conditions:
No refund will be made, nor will any adjustment be made for fares paid in the event the ticket is left at home, lost or destroyed.

In my experience no. Something similar happenned to DH but it was later in the month. What I was told is because there is no picture or anything on it, anyone can use it and they are then allowing someone to ride for free that month. You may be able to tell them it never arrived in the mail.

Is it a mail & ride ticket? If so, you can get one replacement (ever, for life, Amen). I lost my mail & ride three days into the month and I got a refund. Call to find out, but from what I recall you will need to buy a new ticket for the month and get forms notarized, etc., but it's worth it.

DH just called and said he found it on the floor of the car  but this is GREAT information to know!

For future reference, always file the claim and check the lost and found. Alot of the time, the people who find it already have monthlys and will turn em in.
I heard a conductor tell the woman behind me that when she lost hers.
