And my daughter only got the first dose bc my pedi is not giving 2nd doses until everyone who wants the vaccine gets it. my pedi said first dose is 80%effective.
Who is your ped? I wish what he told you was true but it is not according to clinical trials. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has reported that the percentge of children who had a robust immune response three weeks after the first shot was only 25%( for children 6 months-three years of age. ) After receiving two shots the immune response was 100%.
This information is available to everyone! I find the information your ped. gave you very unsettling. Does anyone have the origin of the 80% statistic on one shot? I hope it is proven that it is true!

DS's are 2.5 and 7 months...ped is advising against it

DS is almost 3 years but DD is 19 months- they both got the first dose of the preservative free shot- no reactions at all- thank goodness!
I will give them the second does whenever my ped gets it in.

Sean got the reg flu shot last week - I have him on the waiting list for the H1N1 - he's almost 7 months

we all got it DS (14 months), DH, and I .....we all are fine no reaction...but we all got the inactive one...
