We probably won't take them this year. I am not in the mood to deal with the crowds. We stood in line for almost 2 hours last year.

DS is only 2 weeks old, so we are not. DH bought a cheap Santa suit at Christmas Tree Shop, and we will pose a shot.

I didn't take DD#1 for her 1st Christmas at 3 mos, nor her 2nd Christmas at 15 mos. I didn't feel like torturing us all just for a photo op! 
This year is a different story though...every time we turn around we're visiting Santa. I think in the end it will be 3 times for my 4 year old and 4 times for my 2.5 year old--it's ridiculous!!

no plans for it. im not a fan of big crowds and lines, and at 1 yr old, she isn't either. lol. when she grows up, if she wants to go see santa, i will take her.

We went, but DS was afraid of Santa. No way he was going up there without tears and a tantrum, and it just isn't worth it.
Why make him scared in a situation that really isn't necessary? I don't get it when people drag their screaming kids up there anyway.

Well we already tried once because DS convinced me he wanted to go in and he couldnt get enough of Santa from the outside. Once he got in there, he changed his tune and we didnt even get close to him because he was gripping me in fear. Last year he burst into tears on his lap and got no pic. The only pic I have with him of Santa is when he was 2 mos old

2007 we didnt take DS because he ws 5 days old
2008 I didnt want to pay $25 for what I knew would be a horrible experience. So we took DS to an event at the CFA in Smithtown and they had santa, DS hated it, cried but we forced on pic as it was free
2009 DS is nearly 2 and in a shy stage wtih new people, I know he will hate it but I kinda want to just throw him on santa's lap and say take the pic no matter what it looks like just to have it! DH says no, so we will see

We tried a few weeks ago, Victoria was scared of Santa so I decided to leave it alone. But DH was feeling guilty since it is Julianne's first christmas and he wanted a picture of her with santa (since we did Victoria for her first christmas). When we went back, Victoria sat on Santa's lap for 20 seconds so I think this is it for us for Santa pictures.
