Anyone want to see some of the house stuff we've done so far?
We got all the binds up on the windows. Gotta love LOWES - they went up in about 10 minutes for each one!
Empire Carpet came yesterday to install the wall to wall carpet in 2 BRs, the stairway and upstairs hallway and the LR.Took them 4-5 hours to install, and it's so soft and beautiful looking!!!

There is still a lot of wood floors around in the DR and the other 2 bedrooms.
I honestly wanted throw rugs, but after careful inspection and the cost for what I wanted in a rug, it just wasn't cost effective.
And I love my husband to pieces, but he's a musician, and he has drums and other equipment that will be carried up and down those stairs - or dragged is more like it - I would rather have carpet destroyed, than hard wood floors.
The other issue - the oiriginal owner's had water damage in the MB and the floor boards, although polished were not in good shape, and we don't have the $$$ to redo the floors in the bedrooms yet, so this will work in the meantime.

Why did you cover those beautiful floors?
Anyway.....The carpet looks soft and comfy.
One thing I would of had them done was to put down the metal strip inbetween the grey carpet and the beige carpet.....Where the bedroom and the hallway.

Look at my above post for reasoning for carpet.
As for the strip - the door wouldn't shut with that there, but we prefer it without it.
It's all about personal taste with everyone.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm not used to oil heat and I feel cold in my house and it's 62 right now.

Im not a big fan of hardwood floors at all....especially in the bedrooms....carpets make it so much warmer!!
