anyones dc have a brain mri at a young age ?
my ds is 20 months and has sensory issues. b/c of this he vomits a lot when eating. i brought him to a neurologist that suggested a brain mri. i'm all for it but hate to have to put my ds under and all. any experiences?

Re: anyones dc have a brain mri at a young age ?
Cole had one at 17 months at a place in Plainview that specializes in kids. Truthfully, it was harder on me than it was on him. They had an anestesiologist give him IV sedation, we waited for him to go under (which was a little more than "just sleeping" and that was hard to see); i sat in a chair next to the machine while he had the scan (20-30 minutes) and then they had me hold him in a rocker while he woke. they keot us for observation about another 30 minutes and we were done.

thanks so much for sharing your experience, it helps to know what's coming. i so dread the IV, josh is awful with that. i can't wait till this is over!
