One year for my birthday, my SIL (nrthshgrl) and my brother took me to a Ranger game. I love Wayne Gretzky and it was an extremely thoughtful gift. But Barb kept pointing me up to the GardenVision saying "oh wow, look, twins" or "look, its someone else's bday too!" and finally there was a big sign that said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN G..., LOVE AL AND BARBARA" and it was just the sweetest thing. Barb's good like that
My DH is always surprising me with little things here and there. A flower, a card, a candy bar. Always trying to make me feel good. Lately he's been really good with helping me clear the table (cleaning and doing any type of chore is just NOT his forte ).
My stepson knows I absolutely love Eeyore. One year he went to Disney with his aunt and with his own money he bought me an Eeyore. He was only 5 years old
Just a few that came to mind...

My Dad was on strike for almost a year when a Thanksgiving Holiday rolled around. The A.O.H. left a box on our doorstep with an entire Thanksgiving dinner in it, including the turkey! Other than stating that it was from the A.O.H., they did it anonymously, knowing that my Dad would be too embarrassed to accept what he considered a handout.
It really put Thanksgiving into perspective for us.

When I gave birth, an old friend from college, who I wasn't even that close to, sent me a beautiful handwritten card wishing me congratulations. I still have it in DD's dresser. It was so touching.
Also every time my DD (3 year old) says "I love you" to me, it melts my heart.
