I was/am because she needs to nap or she's a mess. She's is so nosey so if there's any stimulation she can't shut down.

Well as of this week she stopped napping completelyChat Icon - so I guess I'm free

DS takes his morning naps at home.
His afternoon naps happen either on a walk or in the car or in the store.
He loves to fall asleep in the car.

If we are home then I makes he has his 2 naps. But if we are out then we just wing it and if he does sleep, it's usually a cat nap. He'll catnap in the car. He's never been the kind of baby that can sleep anywhere. He's also a nosey baby and places with noise will keep him stimulated.

It seems like if my dd eats and then goes in the stroller or car shes right asleep until the next feeding. When this happens, she doesn't sleep well at night. So I am actually a prisoner to her eating schedule b/c I like to be in the house so I can have her stimulated for a good 45 minutes after she eats.

YES I AM a prisoner!! I always say it's like I'm on house arrest! By the time she wakes from her AM nap, eats and is cleaned up and we get out, it is almost time for her afternoon nap. She sleeps for a good 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. So if we are running around and she is just getting catnaps of 10-30 mins in the carseat, she is just so cranky that it's not even worth it. And in the stroller, she is too interested in everything going on around her to sleep.

I guess I won't be free until she switches to only taking 1 nap a day.

Right now I usually wait til DH comes home to run errands other than quick trips near the house.

No. Hayley will sleep anywhere. She will fall asleep in the car, I will sit her in the seat of a shopping cart and give her a jacket to make a pillow and she will still sleep. Or I can take her sleeping from the car and put her in the stroller and she will still sleep.

I hear ya...It's easy for people to always say "oh they'll sleep anywhere" Well not every kid is the same. My child is not the type of child that will nap anywhere and if he is sleeping he is the type that will wake up when transitioning him from anywhere...

I at least try to get one nap in if I know we are going out later to a party or to someones house. The rest I try to wing it...

I try to be home for either their morning or afternoon nap. It doesn't really matter because they will nap in their stroller just the same, sometimes better.

I was ( and still am ) a prisoner. Madeline makes for a much more pleasant baby when she naps in her crib for an extended period of time... as opposed to out and about. I've always been jealous of babies that are flexible when it comes to sleep. I didn't get one of thoseChat Icon

Its much better now that she is on one nap a day.

My girls Nap @ 10:30am until 12:30--then they eat lunch and we go out.. If they get tired in the afternoon they sleep wherever we are. I thinks it's just as important to get the girls out of the house everyday..
