Re: Are you able to tell time in military time?

its used in Europe so you kind of have to figure it out if you are looking up train times, opening and closing times, flights etc..it does take me a second though! I stink at even simple math!

Yes, ever since I went to Europe for the first time. That is the only system they use there.

Yes! When we were in Europe this past summer, I had to adjust pretty quickly. It was actually a lot easier than AM/PM. I wish we did it here.

I honestly just *THINK* of 13 as 1 after that its easy just subract 2 from the last number up to 20 10-2 which is 8pm

9pm drove me nuts so its just the odd ball at 21.

22 is the last number 2 minus 2 which is 0 .. add a 1 and its 10 Then 23 (3 minus 2 is 1 so its 11) and 24 is obvious.

Being back in San Antonio has made me brush up on it again BIG TIME. Its militarytown, usa! haha

huh? don't you just subtract 12?
Its not that difficult!

Yeah, pretty much. After 12 noon just subtract 12. But once you get used to it you just 'know' what time it is without having to do the math. I have my only digital wristwatch set to the 24hr clock.
